TikTok Now Tells You Who Views Your Profile

You can now check who’s viewing your TikTok profile. And other users may now see you visiting theirs as well!

In 2021, TikTok added a new product feature called the TikTok Profile View History– a feature that helps users to see who recently visited their TikTok profiles. So, if you often visit someone’s account on TikTok, that user will see you on their profile viewers list.

This feature does not activate by default. TikTok tells you who views your profile only if you enable this feature. Turning on the TikTok Profile View History will allow other users to see your TikTok ID on their profile.

Turning On TikTok Profile View History

The profile view history lets you see a list of users who visited your account in the last 30 days. If you view other users’ profiles who also have this feature turned on, your name will appear on their list for 30 days.

There’s also a way to remove your name from their list of TikTok profile viewers. Just turn off the feature, and your TikTok ID will no longer appear on their profile.

If you’re curious about who’s checking on your TikTok videos, you can activate the profile view history in your TikTok account with the following settings:

1. Open The TikTok Application

On your TikTok application, click on the profile icon at the bottom right part of your screen.

2. Tap The 3-line Menu Icon

Click on the 3-line menu icon, tap Privacy and Settings, then click “Privacy” under the “Manage Account” tab.

3. Turn On Profile View History

Tap the “Profile Views” tab from your setting’s “Privacy” section. Click on the toggle icon to enable the feature on your TikTok account.

You may follow these procedures to turn off the feature as well. There is also an easy way to turn off profile view history if you have already turned it on. Just click on the profile icon on the application and select the eye– or for some users, the footprint icon– near the 3-line menu, then turn off the feature.

You will receive a notification after you turn on the profile view history. TikTok will tell you who’s viewing your profile by sending update notifications to your inbox.

I Cannot Activate TikTok Profile View History

The profile view history feature may not be available to some users on TikTok. So, if your account does not have this feature, it may be due to the following reasons:

1. Users under the age of 16 are not able to use the feature.

2. If you have over 5,000 followers, the feature is disabled.

3. You must have profile view history enabled in your settings.

4. The feature is disabled if your account is private.

How To Stay Hidden When Viewing Other User Profiles

Your TikTok account and all your videos will never appear to other users who do not follow you if you set your profile to private.

If you’re worried your name might appear on someone’s TikTok profile as a visitor, there is also a way to stay hidden from every visit. Simply turn off the feature on your own account. If you have the profile view setting disabled, other TikTok users will not be able to see your account in their profile view history.
