Hispanic Influencers Making Their Mark

Today marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, an annual celebration of the history and culture of the U.S. Latinx and Hispanic communities. The event, which spans from September 15 to October 15, commemorates how those communities have influenced and contributed to American society at large.

From TikTok to Instagram and everywhere in between the Latin community is making a huge impact.

This 27-year-old Latina influencer is one of the fastest-growing YouTubers on the tech scene. Krystal Lora uses her channel to unbox and review some of the latest tech available on the mass market. Her latest video, iPad Pro ONLY Challenge (2021) has nearly 6,000 views and counting. Lora posted her first video in 2017. Within 4 years, Lora has gained 324,000 subscribers. She is also a fan favorite on Instagram where she posts updates on her daily life to her 66,000 followers.

  • SOFIA BELLA

Sofia Bella is a growing TikTok star with over 3 million followers. Bella posts a variety of humorous content, including videos of her teaching Spanish to her adorable preschool class. Sofia Bella is proud of her Latina roots as she regularly uses popular Spanish sounds on TikTok. Bella’s light and positive personality are also present in her longer-form content. Her YouTube channel has over 14,000 subscribers and she often uploads a wide selection of vlogs and YouTube shorts.

  • ANDREA ESPADA

Andrea makes funny videos giving her take on dating and relationships. She joined Instagram in 2013, posting several selfies, sketches of herself and other funny videos. She moved from Colombia to the United States to chase her dream of making it in the entertainment business. Espada first found fame as the host of UFC Now. She has also served as a host for Colombian game shows including Estrella TV Presenta: Esto es Guerra.

  • GUILLERMO DÍAZ IBAÑEZ

Guillermo Díaz Ibañez is known online as Willyrex. He came to fame as one of the top Latin American gaming channels on YouTube, where he now has two channels, and his other social channels are an outshoot of that.

  • LEJUAN JAMES

Lejuan James started his social success on Vine, before building his vast Facebook (and latterly Instagram) following. He is something of a comedian and shares comical videos with his fans. He empathizes his Latin culture in his posts. His name is a parody on LeBron James.

  • BRENDA RIVERA STEARNS

On Instagram, Brenda goes by @she_plusfive, and for good reason: her social media account chronicles her life with her husband and five children. Brenda has collaborated with niche brands like Tidy Books and Honest Beauty. Her Instagram profile explores issues of motherhood with the added level of raising Latinx children.


These are just a few of the Latinx influencers out there. In addition to this list, there are well-known superstar Latinx influencers like Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez and Bad Bunny.
